Town Hall Pavilion Garden

E-mail Print

thpavilion-cA new project for 2009.

The landscaping around the pavilion behind the Town Hall was very overgrown and dark, thick with brush and weeds.  The club funded a major excavation of overgrown plants, bushes, and brush.  Several large bushes were removed from the lawn side of the pavilion, opening up a view in and out of the facility.

Beds were cleared of overgrown daylilies and weeds and a fresh layer of mulch was placed, showcasing the beautiful established Hosta plantings, specimen bushes, and Kousa Dogwood tree. Some daylilies were planted on the pond side of the pavilion and others were distributed free of charge to shoppers at our annual May Mart sale.

The improvements have made the Pavilion a much safer and inviting site for public use.  It has since been used for community concerts in the summer as well as family and group gatherings, in addition to its use for town festivals.
